The Montréal en Lumière (Montreal in Light) Festival was full of light and fun this week. It was quite cold, but many people still came out for the music, food and lights in Montreal, Canada.

The west part of George Street in Edinburgh's 18th Century New Town was pedestrianised during the festival period, with the Book Festival expanding out of nearby Charlotte Square into the nearest end of George Street for added event space, and the rest given over to allow existing restaurants and bars to expand into the street, and also these temporary pop-up bars like this one with the cool old Citroen van. Spotted it coming out of one of the book fest events late one evening and had to take a couple of quick shots, freehand, but they came out not too bad considering lack of tripod.

An urban wineyard with real Mosel flair was offered on a 450 m² roof terrace. - In addition to the wines, a varied program was offered with workshops and expert lectures on the subject of wine and enjoyment, as well as entertainment (swing dancing, poetry slam, open-air cinema, live music).

The development of the Kings Cross area continues at speed. One of the latest additions is a 'pop up' bar/restaurant on the site of an old petrol station. It will be around for another 18 months or so overlooking the Regent Canal.
My home town Brussels is a ( secret ) pop-up cocktail richer, the Cointreau Fizz Garden, housed in a former bank building, and it's the place to be for anyone who want to discover the Cointreau Fizz cocktail in all its variations. The cool thing is that you can style your own drinks and make your own unique cocktail !
This amazing ( abandoned ) location was redecorated in garden style by Thierry Boutemy, a floral designer of international renown. Expect floral art, vintage decorations from the 20's, an amazing impressive setting and unique art work that give the interior a poetic touch. Music by local DJ's and surprise performances are provided.
Well, if you are visiting my home town the next week, this is the place to be !
Note that this is "private" and only open 3 days a week : Thursday, Friday and Saturday, opens at 18h30 ( you need to become "member" on the website, thats all you need to get in )
As this is only a popup bar, it will close April 20th.
