At the top of the Wicklow Mountains, through the Scalp, there are many mountain pools. Some natural and some due to rewetting actions that are taking place in the peatlands that cover the mountains.
Located in the suburb of Maroubra is this magnificent ocean pool called Mahon. The tide was high and the sea swell the largest I've seen for some time over the coast. All images are available for print please message me for further details. www.benholmesphotography.com.au
Here is a hot springs pool. I used a polarizing filter to cut down on the reflection so you can see deep into the pool which is located in the biscuit basin section of Yellowstone NP.The pool is approx. 30 feet deep and the water tempature is 200F degrees.
These kids of mine were trying to kill each other and driving me crazy. So i had to get them outta the house... smh. Gladly no one was at the pool.
This is a photo of a wave sculpted pool of water on Clam Harbour Beach. I positioned the camera at the angle that captured the brightest luminosity of the sun highlights on the wet sand, and set the aspect ratio to 16:9 for this composition.
Reflecting Pool was taken at Beaver Lake in North Pole Alaska...on the way home from walk about in town ...was trying to catch some water fowl photos but they kept flying away ..did not have time to wait them out ....this part of lake is covered with fallen leaves just floating on top ..It snowed today and i managed to get a few shots of snow covered things ..I hate seeing the first snows but am happy when temps spiral down and everything is freeze dry .....

This is the indoor pool at the Regency Tunis hotel. Didn't stay in the room long, it was very hot and muggy, lol. For 118 pictures in 2018, #28, "interior"
I’m feeling a bit out off sorts with photography at the moment. My last two outings with the camera have been with my OM camera’s, great for travelling light but I feel my photography suffers, maybe not in it’s imagery but definitely in my empathy for that image. This may be just my imagination or just the winter blues but being in the woods on Sunday primary using my Canon R5 with Benro tripod and geared head started the healing process again. While processing this photo of this quiet little pool I have experienced that inner peace I have with my work I’ve not felt in months. It’s not just the processing the image, I know when I took the photo I had it right, down to the correct polarisation of the pools reflection. I feel my light OM camera’s are great to take a photograph, ideal when the location, conditions and light briefly appear, but to make a photograph I have to slow down and it’s only when I’m purposely out with my FF Canon I do that.

Morning Glory Pool is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the Upper Geyser Basin despite being less beautiful than it once was, since large amounts of rocks and trash have been thrown into the pool by thoughtless visitors, significantly reducing the water temperature. The pool used to be filled by rich blue water, with a narrow ring of orange-yellow bacteria only around the edge; now the water is more greenish and the algae band is much wider. The pool is 20 feet in diameter, 23 feet deep, round and symmetric, with a conical vent at the center, and may be viewed from a raised boardwalk that extends along nearly half its circumference. The spring drains westwards into the Firehole River, 100 feet away. It was named in 1883 for its resemblance in color and shape to the morning glory flower.

This is an unusual area, with nutrient-poor soils that are extremely slow to drain and which are high in heavy metals. An unusual suite of plants, adapted to these soils, grow nearby this pool. I saw this scene while on a field trip with the California Native Plant Society, San Luis Obispo chapter.

A monster lives in my pool. I don’t know how it got there. It only comes out at night.
I first saw it when I went for a swim one night. There it was, lurking in the corner. I was scared witless. I ran away screaming. I did not call the police. Who would believe me?
One morning, I awoke to find my glasses on the back porch. The glasses I had lost in the swimming pool. Somebody had placed a flower beside my glasses.
Later that same day, I left some biscuits by the poolside. Nobody touched them during the day. In the morning, they were gone.
This all happened some weeks ago.
Now I lie awake at night, listening. Waiting and listening in the dark. I like listening in the dark. It’s wonderfully relaxing, to listen in the dark. Waiting for the monster.
I hear the garden door open, gently. I hear naked, wet feet tiptoe towards the kitchen. I hear the fridge door open. I hear the satisfying sound of munching. Isn’t it wonderful?
At night, I don’t bother locking my front door anymore. You’d have to be crazy to break into my house. I have a monster living in my pool. It's in the kitchen right now.

We did what normal people do in SL and built and entire waterpark on one of our sims to enjoy for a month or two. That said we had to take the opportunity to make use of the cute Lyrium Dolphin Volley Ball Pose set. :)
