This high-quality bobblehead figurine depicts Marie Curie. He is a black dress and is holding a test tube and flask both of which glow in the dark. Each bobblehead is hand painted. Designed by Rick Lynn of The Bobblehead LLC.
The circular base is blue but glows in the dark a green, and on it’s front is MARIE CURIE 1867-1934 in white lettering.

Marie Curie was a Polish physicist and chemist, working mainly in France, who is famous for her pioneering research on radioactivity. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, the only woman to win in two fields, and the only person to win in multiple sciences. She was also the first female professor at the University of Paris (La Sorbonne), and in 1995 became the first woman to be entombed on her own merits in Paris' Panthéon.

from a series which attempted to fiddle with genre conventions/expectations of pornographic images in order to introduce jarring feminist readings to the unsuspecting audience. not sure how well any of them succeeded, and most of them are actually rather poor as images - this one has a fabulous tonal range though and is actually in focus! amazing! man do i not miss shooting with that OM-10.

This for the &stitches no floss allowed.
I used bakers twine. I love bakers twine, a lot. My stitching seems to have regressed as I haven't been stitching at all and I wasn't a proficient stitcher to begin with. I just need a little (a great deal) more practice. :)
Also, sorry for the stains on the fabric. I set it down outside to take pics and didn't notice the little bit of dirty water.

Andrew's mother brought this fabric (along with a series of Time Life sewing books that I'll photograph soon) back from her mother's house. She suggested I make a skirt suit and blouse out of it.
This is polyester fabric. The satin may be a rayon/poly blend. But the solid blue fabric (which is less yellow in real life) is polyester, the kind you picture in your hot, scratchy, stiff mind when someone mentions the word polyester.
But I can't tell if it is hideous or if is attractive enough to be worth keeping. So, internet that is far more fashionable than I, what say ye?
