When it comes to sealing a corrugated box, all it takes is the right tape and right tape #dispenser. But you may wonder about the right way to seal the small bags which contain nuts, bolts and other small items that are important to be kept together. Well, you can use an impulse sealer to properly seal those small bags.
What is an impulse sealer?
Impulse sealer is basically an electrically powered tool which is used for the sealing of different types of plastic bags. When you are packaging an electronic item which needs to be assembled at the customer end, you are going to have to put nuts, bolts and other important items along with the main product. These small items can be put together by keeping them in the small bags. The impulse sealer uses the impulse of electricity that heats up the wire which melts one layer of plastic. This molten plastic forms a seal with the other layer. This seal is so strong that it needs to be cut or torn in order to open the bag.
The biggest advantage of an #impulse sealer is that it requires no time to warm up and cool down. Thus, it is the safest way to heat up the poly bag to make a seal.
The types of impulse sealer
You can choose an impulse sealer, depending upon your requirements, from a list of 5 types which include tabletop, foot-operated, double impulse, attached cutter and automatic.
•Tabletop impulse sealer looks pretty much like a stapler. It has a lever or jaw which needs to be pressed down to seal the bag.
•The food-operated impulse #sealer is mounted on a stand which can be moved around. This sealer is made to deal with the high work volume.
•Another type of impulse sealer is the double impulse sealer. This sealer consists of two sealing bars. If you have a bag of thick plastic, you will find this impulse sealer quite useful.
•The fourth type of impulse sealer comes with an attached cutter. This cutter cuts the plastic once it is sealed. This sealer is ideal for creating several plastic bags from a long plastic tube.
•The fifth type of impulse sealer is the automatic sealer. This is the sealer which doesn’t require a person to operate the machine by standing close to it. This sealer needs to be programmed for its operations.
You are going to find an impulse sealer quite a useful addition to your operations if you are running a packaging department to pack your manufactured goods.

Here is what I ended up with. 8x6" on wood. Using Gold iridised glass with brass, beads. May only grout some areas and use seed beads around the poly. I am not good at taping off and stopping the grout from hitting the poly, which would destroy the effect.
