Beautiful carpenter bee on an Atlantic Camas wildflower. I love their eyes. Found out the white on the face makes it a male.

St. John's Wort is a wonderful pollinator as seen by the dozens of bumblebees on one bush!.

In my garden.

Pleased to say there’s a lot more bees in the garden this week. Not as many as in past years, but a marked improvement over a couple of weeks ago.

Small Tortoiseshell and honey Bee. Heavily cropped. The butterfly refused to oblige a decent shot before flying away to broadcast on the house wall.

A bee getting to work in my garden.

Always liked bumblebees, also the flying technique they are using is astonishing

I just found out today is the last day of "Pollinator Week". The weather was rather cold and overcast, maybe that's why this little green-eyed bee was at rest.

Id help appreciated. Possibly long horned bee?

Since moving here in 2017 I've noticed many of the pollinators are no longer here. Climate change, air pollution and pesticides being sprayed on crops are contributing to the absence of our pollinators. We need them, it's vital to our existence otherwise the food shortage will become even more crucial than it already is. www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2021/01/210112085357.htm

While capturing macros the other day, I noticed a bug hovering around this pretty plant.

It was just a matter of patience waiting till it landed on the plant to capture it and the lovely orange flower together!

Thanks for all your kind and supportive comments, viewings and favorites for my other images - hope you do similar for this one - much appreciated!!

Hoping you're having a great day and weekend!!

Had a fun time teaching a class on photographing pollinators at the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum this morning. Once the class was over, I went out and captrued a few images of my own. This is one of the shots that I captured.

Ladybird amongst the blossom

Until that first killing freeze comes along, the pollinators are working hard to gather food & the flowers are using pollinators to make seed.
