A tiny honey bee on a large teasel head...after they sip the nectar from the cone shaped petal they pull it out of the teasel head and drop it!

Another entry in the miscellany. For all of us allergy sufferers out there, we know this word well. Willows are pollinated by wind blowing the pollen from the stamens that you see here, to the less visible pistils.

This photo was taken by a Hasselblad 500C medium format film camera and Carl Zeiss S-Planar 1:5.6 f=120mm lens mounted on a Hasselblad 21mm extension tube using Fuji 400-H film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitalized with Photoshop.

I like these tiny beetles. They add a little something to what would otherwise be flower pics!
This little fellow was covered in pollen and delving deep into a Cosmos flower.
The fields around Hursley are planted with oilseed rape this year and it's just starting to explode with colour and seemed like a suitable test for the PX680 β film. This was fully shielded from the bright sunshine by the old shoot into a bag thing. Colour seems pretty good, but it's a shame the hazy background sky is blown out.
