These three long-horned bees spent the night curled up inside an evening primrose. Photographed in the La Crosse Blufflands Conservancy, La Crosse County, Wisconsin.
This is also Graceland Cemetery. When I returned from New Orleans in late 2015, this was a new addition to the southeast corner of the cemetery.

Today, I saw many butterflies, dragonflies, and bees, but only managed to photograph this one on the orange flowers or Asclepias tuberosa, commonly known as butterfly weed.
Caution: Pollinators at work! I passed under a blooming tree to hear it humming and looked up to see swarms of these industrious guys doing Nature's work! East Boulder, Colorado
One of my favourite flowers in the garden to photograph, akebia quintata, this is the dark version, see first comment box for the paler version. It is often called the chocolate vine because of its scent which I managed to smell for the first time this year now that the plants are bigger and the flowers more numerous (I have a poor sense of smell) Also for the first time the paler plant has the larger female flowers so maybe I'll get fruit on both plants later in the year. One needs two versions to get cross pollination and hence fruit.

A female Ruby-throated Hummingbird spreading some good will prior to the long flight to Central America. I was not aware that they have such a long life span. The oldest known ruby-throated hummingbird to be banded was over 9 years of age.
This ant struck an acrobatic pose pollinating woad (Isatis tinctoria) flowers.

Went to visit the rare Lizard orchids (of which there are many this year) at one of their few sites, and noticed this characterful beetle that appeared to be a pollinator; no doubt drawn by the plant's heady goat-like aroma
(114/366) I haven't got a bug butt photo for today but I have got a Bug Box. Like we really need more things to pack when we do eventually move but I couldn't resist buying this for just €4.99 from Lidl.
