Polk berries and little boys are a dangerous combination. They are said to be poisonous, I don't know, but they will definitely stain. I well remember after playing with them as a child my Mother was less than pleased

This pine tree located near the Bastei was made famous by the late german landscape photographer Fritz Pölking when he took a picture on new years eve 2000.

Thru the mid 1900's one director and two operators were needed to run Polk St. now it's down to one operator in March 87. This day it is Dan Vanginder, who is waving from the window.

This was another image shot in a commercial style of photography.
I have always been a huge fan of Polk and love the sound their speakers put out, so I took off one of their protectors and shot the logo on it.
I also wanted to keep a lot of the mesh from the speakers to show what they are, and to keep the detail of it.

The Polk County Courthouse in downtown Des Moines, Iowa was built in 1906. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The big sign for the historic Polk Theatre in Lakeland, Florida. The Polk Theatre was built in 1928 as a movie palace and is a landmark here in Lakeland. There isn't any neon on this sign. It's all incandescent bulbs...Lots of them!
