Mark Cavendish, Stage 8a, Tour of Britain 2011 - 18th September 2011 12:22
This is the fastest man on two wheels, and now World Champion, Mark Cavendish just after finishing the individual time trial of the Tour of Britain. Not being a time-trialist his effort of coming 13th was particularly impressive, even if the short distance of just 8.8km helped. He wrote on twitter slightly later "Uuurghhh. It's not often I do those TimeTrial efforts anymore! Think I've taken a layer off the inside of my lungs! Nice win by Alex Dowsett".
Having seen him head off round to the start line, I knew he would pass the same place on the way back after his run, so I made sure I came back and waited in the optimum spot awaiting his return... I was not disappointed as, sure enough, he came within a couple of feet of me! This was the result.

For anyone who doesn't watch the Tour de France, my stand out moment is back in 2009 when Mark Cavendish won on the Champs-Élysées for the first time. The speed at which he launches towards the line is just incredible!! Sadly this particular video doesn't show the massive distance by which he won the sprint by.

Pretty young to be the points leader. You can tell by how he skates so effortlessly that he is a natural.
In the green jersey. Don't get me wrong, I love this guy, but he needs to learn something called sportsmanship.
