Witch hazel blossoms with last year's seed pod. The pods explode, which can throw the seeds up to 20 feet away!
I found this object while hiking accross a coastal desert plain, near (Location 18.953110°N, 57.553350°E). This is on the coast of southern Oman, south of Ras Madrakah, and in the vicinity of Khor Gharam. It appears to be the remains of an organic pod with fragments of stones and shells firmly stuck to the outside. Maybe this is part of some creature's life-cycle, and the stones protect it. Can you help identify it?

Los fondos recabados de la conferencia “Soy mujer, soy invencible y estoy exhausta”, dictada por la comunicadora y especialista en superación personal, Gaby Vargas, serán destinados al programa “Beca un Niño Indigena, del Sistema Estatal DIF.
Como resultado del trabajo en coordinación entre los voluntariados de SEDIF, SGG, SEP, H. Congreso del Estado y el Honorable Tribunal Superior de Justicia del Estado de Puebla (HTSJP), presidido por su Vocal Adriana Rodríguez de Flores Toledano, apoyaron esta iniciativa.

Visitan el Palacio de Justicia estudiantes del Montessori Cholloyan
Con entusiasmo, estudiantes que cursan del tercero al sexto grado de Primaria en la Escuela Montessori Cholloyan, escucharon las palabras del Maestro Rafael Velasco Oliver, Titular de la Unidad de Transparencia y Acceso a la Información Pública del Poder Judicial, quien rememoró parte de la historia que enmarca al vetusto edificio que alberga el Palacio de Justicia.
