The FX4S Plus was a modified version of the earlier FX-type taxi and was introduced in September 1987. FX-type taxicabs were in production from 1958 to 1997 and became a familiar sight on London's streets. The vehicle is pictured here on display at the London Transport Museum on 10th April 2012. E272MYL was kindly donated to the Museum in 2007 by its former owner, Steve Sutherland, who worked as a London cabby for over 30 years.

Erstmals fand am 31. Mai 2017 der Tag der Universität Salzburg statt. An diesem Festtag wurden zahlreiche Veranstaltungen mit unterschiedlichen Themen aus den Bereichen Lehre, Forschung und Studium organisiert und der breiten Öffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht.
Höhepunkt des Programms war der abschließende Festakt in der großen Aula mit der Promotion Sub Auspiciis Präsidentis, verschiedenen akademischen Ehrungen, Vergabe der Lehr- und Forschungspreise und Vorstellung der im vergangenen Jahr neu habilitierten Kolleg/inn/en sein.

Gorgé de soleil et balayé par un doux vent de talents naissants, le 20e Europoussins de Pleudihen a brillé comme jamais. « La qualité de jeu a encore progressé », témoigne ainsi Olivier Oléron, autrefois dernier rempart de l'ASC Léhon, devenu speaker entraînant. L'homme, en expert du poste qu'il est, a notamment vu de « très bons gardiens » et apprécié la rareté des exploits individuels au profit « de vrais collectifs, avec des équipes tactiquement bien rodées ». La formation des jeunes footballeurs est, partout, surveillée de très près. La composition « galactique » du dernier carré en témoigne. Excusez du peu : l'Ajax d'Amsterdam, le FC Bâle et l'AS Roma, pour qui il s'agissait tous d'une première participation, accompagnés de la Juventus de Turin, une Vieille Dame venue sur les bords de Rance pour la seconde fois d'affilée. « C'est assez époustouflant de voir tous ces grands noms du football européen. Ça été une formidable édition », s'enthousiasme Jean-François Lorée, le président du comité d'organisation depuis dix ans. L'homme est même prêt à l'avouer : toucher du doigt le presque parfait. « C'est très grisant. On est tous heureux, d'autant qu'il y a eu beaucoup d'affluence ». Même si l'entrée était gratuite, les organisateurs ont d'ailleurs tenté de l'estimer. « On pense qu'il y a eu 15 ou 16.000 spectateurs au cours de ces deux jours », sourit-il. Une colonie joyeuse et colorée qui a donc vu le FC Bâle l'emporter sur le fil, devant l'AS Roma du petit Cristian Totti. Menés 1-0, les Suisses ont d'abord égalisé avant d'inscrire le but vainqueur durant la dernière minute du temps réglementaire. Vous devinez la joie immense de ces petits U10 hauts comme trois pommes. Et même celle partagée par les 47 autres équipes engagées, toutes animées du même fair-play. « Certaines ne sont même pas venues chercher leurs lots, tant elles étaient heureuses d'avoir seulement participé », glisse Jean-François Lorée, le souffle coupé par tant d'émotions. Toronto Park People's Park Summit is the premier event celebrating and sharing the successes and opportunities of Toronto’s 1600+ parks. This year’s theme, Reimagine Our Parks, explored creative ways volunteers and partners can transform parks into the heart of their communities. 400 of Toronto’s most passionate park advocates and champions came together at the 2014 Toronto Park Summit.
The keynote adress was given by Adrian Benepe. Adrian was New York City’s Parks Commissioner under Mayor Bloomberg from 2002 to 2012. He is currently a Senior Vice President and Director of City Park Development for the Trust for Public Land, the world’s leading independent organization supporting the protection and enhancement of city parks. Adrian is one of the leading global experts on connecting the public, private, and nonprofit sectors in public-space development and management and his role with TPL is to provide advice on using partnerships to improve parks in cities across the US. As NYC’s Parks Commissioner, Adrian oversaw a renaissance in New York City’s parks system including adding 730 acres of parkland and overseeing such exciting new parks as the High Line, Battery Park and Brooklyn Bridge Park.

The summit concluded with remarks from Richard Ubbens, acting director of Parks, Forestry & Recreation with the City of Toronto, followed by a social and tour of the new Regent Park, opening this summer.
Members of the Regent Park Food Partnership took attendees for a one-hour walking tour of the Regent Park community. Regent Park is undergoing a massive transformation, which is being looked at around the world as a model by which challenged urban neighbourhoods can be re-imagined and re-created as healthy, sustainable communities. See and hear about the new state-of-the-art neighbourhood amenities (including the six-acre park!) that are at the centre of this transformation and are sure to be a destination for the entire City!
