That night, people signed on to say that "peace is always beautiful"
The title ("The pledge for peace") and the sign-on process (putting a palm print down with your name beside it) was set down on the fly, while I was there.
I was in the park for a Food Not Bombs meal and an activist sign-making session. And I had never met the two female high school students who were doing the peace chalking.
I walked over to take photos, and we ended up talking; then I ended up being the first person to take the pledge.
The two students who were doing the chalking also focus on child slavery issues.
Carolyn helped them with their chalking, before the other Food Not Bombs people got to the park.
