I don't often get the opportunity to do portraits of people, so I had a lot of fun once I had a (semi) willing subject. This was a chance to experiment with a home set-up lighting rig (big hugs to Nic who went to so much effort and frustration to put it all together just right!)

Well, you know me... I am always, always on the look for new images... so this time I posted a little something online and Alan answered. He said he and his girlfriend, Pao, were down for some images. And... well... you know, you certainly must know by now we produced those images for sure!!!

The sky had a strange orange tint last night in our backyard. I tried to take a picture, but of course it was rather dark. The long shutter opening then tempted me to play with the lights!

A happy evening with artistic collaborator. Projectiing white and red torch light backwards though a kaleidoscope-kaleidoscope on to a wall

my joe and I had a great time today, playing with those amazing natural ice sculptures!

I used 3 different cameras (Nikon d5000, Canon A470 (supermacro) and Panasonic FZ5)

Testing out my reflective umbrella with a pair of worklights that put out 1,000 watts. This is my brother, Nick.

TV lit children's faces. They were so still with the brief exception of the one in the foreground for a second. This is not what I was going for but I like the ghost image.
