This is probably the view that many a bus conductor (on an open platform bus) would have had of A267 when either stopped at lights or held up in slow moving traffic back in the day. But then again, that could apply to ANY rear-loader in Liverpool years ago.

Chichen itza: Charles Bray took this picture of the Venus Platform, and according to history Venus was one the representations of the serpent god Kukulcan. It is believed that the platform may have been used for religious ceremonies in honour of this important deity. In the sunken spaces Kukulcán, in his role of Venus the morning star, appears with forked tongue and jaguar- like claws to be coming out of the jaws of the plumed serpent. In the stairways on each side of the platform are guarded by images of feathered serpents.
Cold and Beautiful. It's not the most exciting of photos but I hope it shows how beautiful winter can be even in mundane spaces.
