I recently did a search for a photo of one of these and didn't find one, so I thought I'd post this photo to help those who don't have the original 'Ace' translucent digits. These are plastic digits, each one set into a separate metal plate, that are all inserted into a correctly spaced framework made of the same black painted metal. The whole assembly is set forward of the rear lights so it is illuminated from behind. This is protected by a glass window in the rear light box.
