At the Surfing Colours hotel, only glass bottles are used, which is a nice gesture to try to reduce plastic!

Canary Green organized a beach clean-up in Callao Salvaje for Oceans Day, and had the pleasure to be joined by the Tenerife Horse Rescue, Eco implicados, Paradise divers, but was also helped by MYND Hotel, and Ocean Beer who offered us free beers after 2 hours of acting to clean the beach. It was amazing to see that all together, was can act for a sustainable future! Thanks to everyone who came!!

There are no ordinary moments.

Reuse instead of producing waste.

There are many alternatives to disposable plastic straws.

"Halm" makes some of the best industrial glass. "Doras" offer some of metal. At the moment there are some in Germany at Tchibo out of reuseable plastic. All of them you can put in the dishwasher, or clean it with a small brush. And, surprice, there are straw back which out of *drumms* straw, eg. "Strohmi".

Google "straws alternative utopia" for some more options.

Also, you can use travel cutlery to e.g. to eat without the plastic forks and spoons at the Street Food shops.

And of course Coffee To Go, drink it from your own ceramic or plastic cups. With the foldable coffee cups there is no excuse anymore that it is too difficult to carry a cup. :-)

There are no ordinary moments.

There are no ordinary moments.

This mornings breakfast for IB. Jumbo oats with raisens, bannanas and peanut butter. She loved the banana and peanut butter, but not so much the oats. I'm enjoying the #plasticfreeparent challenge but it's made me realise that everything is #plastic by default. The bag the raisens came in, the bag the oats came in, even the chair IB sits in for breakfast is #plastic. We all need to play the long game, migrating away from our #plastic world isn't going to happen overnight! @plasticfreemeorg #plasticfree #plasticfreeparent #plasticfreeparents #plasticfreeparentchallenge #lowimpactliving #lowimpactmovement #lowimpactlifestyle #dadsofinstagram #dadsofig #dadslife via bit.ly/2M6nCQK
