Out to lunch yesterday with a friend and the shadow of her plastic cup called to me...
We're getting hit with so much rain... so I have to capture ordinary objects inside!!
On the plane to Hawaii. The cup is lit by the overhead reading light.
Happy Thursday Monochrome!

My friend had his photos accepted into CONTACT'S Photography Festival which opened last Saturday night. Twenty three cafe's in "The Junction" opened their walls to chosen photographers who will have a full month to display their work. This is the interior of "his" cafe. (loved the orange wall and black vintage chairs)

Macro Mondays: Lids theme
My favorite plastic drink cup with it's "screw on" lid askew. This photo (horizontally) shows exactly 3" of the lid/cup.
Another day. Another house cleaning session. I stumbled upon this old photo from my early X100 days.
dentro o fuori?
L'immagine ci deve sempre un po' ingannare, così come l'arte è sempre un po' l'arte degli inganni. (Janus)
I put white adhesive lettering on each plastic cup. After many shots, I liked the white gab in between. For two reasons; the light in between bounced the opposite colours onto the lettering as well as soften the "vibration" of color when they were right next to each other. Although, I must say I DID like the new "purple/magenta" that was created by the DOF. HMM!
Thank you ADMIN for the challenge, I really enjoyed this one!
