This is a my planner. I write down my schedule to this. I use my smartphone as a planner, but I also carry a thin planner notebook with me.

In few years, I may find that I don't need it....

The Falkirk Wheel, a rotating boat lift in Scotland, which connects the Forth and Clyde Canal with the Union Canal.

The boat lift is named after the nearby town of Falkirk in central Scotland. It opened in 2002, reconnecting the two canals for the first time since the 1930s as part of the Millennium Link project.

The plan to regenerate central Scotland's canals and reconnect Glasgow with Edinburgh was led by British Waterways with support and funding from seven local authorities, the Scottish Enterprise Network, the European Regional Development Fund, and the Millennium Commission. Planners decided early on to create a dramatic 21st-century landmark structure to reconnect the canals, instead of simply recreating the historic lock flight.

The wheel raises boats by 24 metres (79 ft), but the Union Canal is still 11 metres (36 ft) higher than the aqueduct which meets the wheel. Boats must also pass through a pair of locks between the top of the wheel and the Union Canal. The Falkirk Wheel is the only rotating boat lift of its kind in the world, and one of two working boat lifts in the United Kingdom, the other being the Anderton boat lift.

Our Daily Challenge - Aug 20, 2021 - PART OF A CIRCLE

... was written, desperately trying to think of something to take a picture of.

(sigh)

I have created planner dorks out of some of my students. We had a park day and I was curious who brought their planner with them :)

London Bridge station.

20T takes to the passing siding to run around a dead 120 train parked on the mainline at Dawson, IL.

All day long 120's carcass served to impede traffic flow as trains sat for an hour and half at either Iles and Harristown waiting for opposing traffic to pass. Then, once they were let loose, they had to negotiate the 25 mph gauntlet at Dawson as they ran into and back out of the passing siding. Movement Planner my butt. More like Constipation Planner.

24 hours later, as I posted this photo, 120 is still sitting dead at Dawson blocking the main road crossing. And the Class I's wonder why people are getting angry.

This is the lovely Patty Patch! This is her first picture out of her stock outfit--she is beautiful! The length and waviness of her hair is just right. This photo is for the theme "Letters" in the Blythe a Day group--I'm a day late, but at least I managed to post in the group!

weekly overview

This is my moleskine planner. Check the notes

My filofax is soo colorful. I love it, but I'm thinking it's getting to be 'too much'. So I am going to make new plain dividers. I also ordered the cream week on two pages diary inserts for 2013. I can't stand how all my pens bleed through.

I know I have a few admires of my Filofax pictures but I assure you nothing much has changed.. except the fact that I am now in a simple organizer from Target. I will still post pictures and I hope to still help many of you with your organizing/planning!

Venice is a city in Sarasota County, Florida, United States. Venice consists of a large section of mainland, as well as Venice Island just off the coast. The city is located south of Nokomis and north of Englewood. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 20,748. It is noted for its large snowbird population and was voted as a top 10 Happiest Seaside Towns by Coastal Living.

Venice is a principal city of the Bradenton-Sarasota-Venice, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The area of Venice was originally the home of native people who lived more than 12,000 years ago. The 1800s is when the area saw the first wave of settlers. Venice was first known as Horse and Chaise because of a carriage-like tree formation that marked the spot for fishermen. In the 1870s, Robert Rickford Roberts established a homestead near a bay that bears his name today, Roberts Bay. Frank Higel arrived in Venice in 1883 with his wife and six sons. He purchased land in the Roberts' homestead for $2,500, equivalent to $69,000 in 2019, to set up his own homestead. Higel established a citrus operation involving the production of several lines of canned citrus items, such as jams, pickled orange peel, lemon juice, and orange wine. Higel established a post office in 1888 with the name Venice because of its likeness to the canal city in Italy where he spent his childhood.

During the Florida land boom of the 1920s, Fred H. Albee, an orthopedic surgeon renowned for his bone-grafting operations, bought 112 acres (45 ha) from Bertha Palmer to develop Venice. He hired John Nolen to plan the city and create a master plan for the streets. Albee sold the land to the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and retained Nolen as a city planner. The first portions of the city and infrastructure were constructed in 1925–26.

My entry to Moda Bake Shop Sliced Contest (Auditions).

This version of my week planner is designed for two family members (each member has its own row) - half of charm pack is needed to make it (for colorful parts) plus fabric for white sashing, fabrics for back and binding.

In version for four family members one charm pack is needed (for colorful parts) plus fabric for white sashing, fabrics for backing and binding.

It can be also used at the office.

Corners of each square are pockets to put there cards with plan for each day of the week or another information. These corners were made from 1/4 of charms and they are sewn between the rows.

Buckle is used to indicate day of the week. When the day changes, buckle is moved to another.

Depending on weight of the buckle (mine is quite heavy) buttons for secure the strip are needed.

Machine quilted (cotton batting was used) and machine bound.
