I've been looking for the best place to put my pedometer because on my waist, I get inaccurate results. I wear leg braces and thought I'd try to place it there since it's out of the way and won't be lost. I heard placing them on your shoe can also be effective at gaining a more accurate measurement.
PORTSMOUTH, Va. -- What was the "cutest" thing we found during Clean the Bay Day? Although not found, but brought, Teka is Keith Lockwood's Jack Russel Terrier puppy. Lockwood was one of 23 employees and family members/friends from the Norfolk District who participated in this year's Clean the Bay Day. Clean the Bay Day is a statewide initiative organized by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, in conjunction with municipalities, businesses and government agencies working together to restore the Chesapeake Bay and its rivers and streams. Every year since 1989, thousands of citizens throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia have dedicated their time to clear litter from waterways. Norfolk District employees volunteered three hours of their time today to remove debris from the shorelines of the Craney Island Dredged Material Management Area, which is operated and maintained by the district. CIDMMA is a 2,500-acre confined dredged material disposal site on the north side of Portsmouth, Va. Concrete girders were brought in on trucks along southbound I-405. The carpool lanes were closed in both directions of I-405 while the girders were being set. Two 250-ton cranes were staged on Oakesdale Avenue SW below the bridge.

I wasn't going to upload a camera porn shot of the Autocord.....but what the hell. I'm pleased with this because i've finally figured out a good development temp and time for ERA (this is straight out of the scanner), after reading up on development on photo.net all week i've finally come home and tried again and i've got the contrast I wanted which is great and extremely satisfying :) My only problem now is the crazy meter on the Cosina that lights up at will...it's own will.

My younger daughter- Christine (in the grey) wanted to get another group shot with her brother and sister. So they all came over to my house the day after Thanksgiving and this is some of what happened.

The annual croquet match takes place between the U.S. Naval Academy and St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland. This is the only sport in which the two compete. The two campuses lie less than a half-mile apart. One school was established in 1845, the other in 1696. One has a student body of 4,500, the other 450. Yet tiny St. John’s has dominated the cross-town rivalry, taking the trophy 25 of the 30 years the competition has been going on.
The Naval Academy team is comprised exclusively of members of 28th Company, chosen at the team captain’s discretion. The Midshipmen wear crisp, U.S. Croquet Association “Croquet Whites,” along with a team tie, varying from year to year. The Johnnie uniform changes every year, revealed only minutes before each match. Additionally, several Plebes (first year Midshipmen) in dress mess uniforms serve refreshments to the players.
Spectators come dressed in all manner of finery, with a heavy emphasis on historical tradition, formal dress, ballroom dancewear, or the just plain outlandish. A mixture of live and piped in music playing primarily big band and swing tunes provides the fleet of foot with ample opportunity to step out.
this toy sword had a hilt, I noticed in my late research that the gladius (roman short sword) had no hilt. so I pulled it off. Looks much better now. I straddled the belt location so I could take the sword off quickly to sit down to talk to students.

Here, I secure the base of the mast (wood to wood) with resin glue -carefully cleaning the edges at the base while giving time to correct its stepping process. As a rule of thumb I always secure the main mast (first) ...followed by others. This method provide quality alignment and make rigging easier.
