This snail is so small I almost stepped on it.
Took it outside & placed it on top of my 4" X 4" fence post.
Patiently I waited til it came out of its shell & started cruising in the morning light.

I placed this beautiful and intriguing climatis bud on a glass table in the autumn sun. I just loved it how the shadows revealed those gorgeous curly hairs !!
... placed the cap of a Spray CreamBottle over the lens and took a photo through the cap and a window while the lens is pointing on a big willow tree full of green leaves.
Then enhanced contrast and saturation, finally framed it and uploaded it for the group

The eagle placed on the column commemorates the conquest of the city by the Romans in the years 26 - 12 BCE. during the reign of Emperor Octavian Augustus. The Romans surrounded the city with defensive walls 2.117 m long and 10 to 15 m high.
This is a bronze eagle set in 1977, based on an authentic Roman eagle found in Courel.

Colaptes rubiginosus
(Golden-olive woodpecker / Carpintero verdidorado)
The golden-olive woodpecker (Colaptes rubiginosus) is a resident breeding bird from Mexico south and east to Guyana, northwest Argentina, Trinidad and Tobago. It was formerly placed in the genus Piculus. The scientific name rubiginosus means "full of rust", describing the color of the bird's wings and back.
The habitat of this woodpecker is forests, more open woodland, and cultivation. It is most common in the mountains. Due to its habitat—mainly montane forest, separated by large rivers—it has evolved into about 20 subspecies. Andean birds show a pale eyering.
Golden-olive woodpeckers mainly eat insects, including ants and beetle larvae, with some fruit and berries.
I placed this on a pale blue linen handkerchief to photo - meanwhile the whole world and its mother rang me , so the air was blue enough as it was 😂 I just hope that I've toned it down enough for today's Macro Mondays . HMM!

The fog banks held on for much of the afternoon. The people in the uplands wondered if the people in the lowlands knew how blue the sky was beyond their shrouded gloom.

Placed in southeast of Sao Vicente island, one of the very first cities of Brazil, Porchat island is a pseudo island due to the fact that only in the high tide it is completely surrounded by water. This is well known due to its dancing clubs and a rich casino, which is no longer opened because of recent Brazilian restrictions on gambling businesses.
This image was taken from the top of Porchat Island toward to Sao Vicente Island, just before a morning storm, where the buildings are seeing in the background and smaller islands appear in the left and far right.
First Gate placed in the area of the State Park, in the years of 1894 to give access to the then water catchment to supply the neighborhood of Ipiranga.

Just beyond the Falls, the creek continues to flow and ends up in the Mississippi River. There was a conveniently placed rock in the middle of this creek I just had to jump to so i didn't even have to get wet for this one.
Minnehaha Creek is a 22-mile-long (35 km) tributary of the Mississippi River that flows east from Gray's Bay Dam on Lake Minnetonka through the suburban cities of Minnetonka, Hopkins, Saint Louis Park, and Edina, and the city of Minneapolis. The creek flows over Minnehaha Falls in Minnehaha Park near its mouth at the Mississippi River.

Tin can pinhole placed out on a pole out in nature in the Woosley Fire area. Left this can out for many months. Below is what the black and white negative paper looks like when you take it out and do the first scan. Other steps are inverting the negative and then working with the contrast to bring out the suns trails.

Was a foggy, chilly and moody morning this day. I patiently waited, but the fog never lifted to allow a peek at the iconic peaks above. Even so, I had a wonderful time here cleansing my soul, breathing in the crisp, fresh air and absorbing this enchantment.
I love being able to step right back into our images and reconnect with the special experience it was to be there.

Wrong lens with me. Decided to take my 1970s Chinon for a walk and while it has great bokeh, it’s no macro!
Someone had placed this chair on top of a rock on the jetty, and to my surprise it was still there several days later.
Tidda and I enjoyed a beautiful sunset in the company of a few ravens but, no, I did not try to sit on that chair!

I placed a plastic jar between two trunks of our large maple tree in the backyard. I filled it with peanuts and the squirrels love it. This Gray squirrel loved it so much that it decided to move right in and get cozy.
Part of the Avebury henge complex, dated 2850 BC to 2200 BC.
Some believe such ancient sites were connected and placed on lines of spiritual power, ley lines, maybe that's what's in the sky? Or not :) Certainly a sacred place with a unique atmosphere.

Small open-air museum placed in El Bruc (L' Anoia, Catalonia)
The purpose of the project not only will help keep birds but they will also publicize the territory using an attractive and artistic way.
Community people reconverted scarecrows into "estimaocells" and in its construction they included nest boxes and bird feeders.
The main aim of this community project is improving and restoring the biodiversity in the territory.
I placed this on the map but put it in the wrong place and cant seem to change it. It was taken along The Forties Road, just off the New Ross road.
Best to be viewed in large size format.

The picturesque Janjehli is placed at an elevation of 2150 Mtr. A beautiful lush green valley having agricultural fields on its gentle slopes, apple orchards, hills covered with pine and deodar trees. A must visit when in Janjehli is ShikariDevi temple. This small path leading to the temple was a nature lovers delight. Mist surrounds the place with rays finding their way through the mist and trees to give some light to the area, covered also with green vegetation on the side of the path going uphill, was so soul stirring and peaceful.

The roseate spoonbill is sometimes placed in its own genus - Ajaja. A 2010 study of mitochondrial DNA of the spoonbills by Chesser and colleagues found that the roseate and yellow-billed spoonbills were each other's closest relatives, and the two were descended from an early offshoot from the ancestors of the other four spoonbill species. They felt the genetic evidence meant it was equally valid to consider all six to be classified within the genus Platalea or alternatively the two placed in the monotypic genera Platibis and Ajaja, respectively. However, as the six species were so similar morphologically, keeping them within the one genus made more sense.[6]
