*many* apologies for the much-delayed uploading. staying with the terribly lovely chuck (aka charlie, crustydolphin, -- shh, don't tell her i called her chuck, it's an american thing ;) in wimbledon; she's been the hostess with the mostest, for sure! met up with a bunch of fabulous UK fuggers last night who have made me feel very welcome & happy indeed.
going to brighton beach tomorrow! woohoo. grand times to be had. aaand i am moving into my london bachelorette pad on SUNDAY sunday sunday. woot woot!
I took a drive up to The Capitol Building to get some shots of the stellar architecture. It was kind of cold and windy, but hardly anyone was there.

This was a pretty simple character to make, apart from the two heads with different emotions, which were pretty difficult to detail. Overall I think I did a good on him, and I hope to make more Pizza Tower figures.
What time is it? It's Pizza Time! I had randomly thought of making this guy and uploading him for this time of year for those of you who don't know, this is from a YouTube Horror/Comedy Series Called Pizza Time Pizza, revolving around this guy, who owns the small business pizza shop, but is also secretly running this cĢ¶uĢ¶lĢ¶tĢ¶ Pizza Family School of Reeducation. Cool Bus
I walk by this thing everyday on my way to work and/or class. It's just a normal school bus, but they scratched out 'school' so it says 'cool'. I'm not sure who owns it, but it's parked right next to Rice Eccles.

This was a super pizza. Barry has good taste. I wish I could have eaten three large in a sitting too, but I can only handle half a small at a time.
People always ask us what our favorite storefront photos we have taken are and we always respond that itās a difficult question to answer as we have spent so many hours not only photographing thousands of mom-and-pop shops but also spending time with the owners conducting interviews to find out the history of their business as well as unique stories they share with us. When we photographed Carmineās in 2009 for our book āStore Front II- A History Preservedā, we were initially attracted to its amazing signage but after interviewing the Italian immigrant owner Carmine Notaro, (he emigrated from Napoli š®š¹) the story he shared with us became equally important to us. He spoke about how the neighborhood of Greenpoint had changed dramatically since he purchased the pizzeria in 1981 when most of his customers were factory workers who worked nearby and would come in for a slice on a break from their shift. Sadly, Carmineās closed in 2015 as the rising costs of operating a pizzeria (Carmine rented the space) along with increasing competition from new restaurants which opened nearby became too much for him. We miss Carmine and his delicious and affordable pizza š l!

I've said that if I could find a pizza place that had both pastrami and sun-dried tomatoes for toppings, I'd be in Heaven. It turns out I had access to Heaven all along, if I'd only asked. Pizza Time in Hartford, CT has pastrami in its sandwiches, but not listed as a topping. I asked if they could put it on a pizza and they said no problem.
Having found Heaven, I thought, why not go for Nirvana and have all my most favorite toppings? I ordered pastrami, sun-dried tomatoes, bacon, pineapple, and jalapenos. Nirvana was achieved. It was a marvelous pizza.
I'm glad I abandoned my idea to create an EBOLA pizza when I couldn't find a topping starting with L.

Front Yard
I was hoping to get some cloud shots last night, but there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Today it rained pretty hard for a bit and there was some lightning (that I unfortunately missed), so I thought I'd try the 'ol fisheye long exposure shot again. I was surprised how HDR-y this one looked when it came out, but I figure it's because of the 30 second exposure. I really like the warm brown and green of the tree against the cool purple sky.
