NGC 2174, also known as Monkey Head Nebula, is an H II emission nebula found in the constellation of Orion and is associated with the open star cluster NGC 2175. It is thought to be located about 6,400 light-years away from Earth.

The Lagoon nebula (M8) and Trifid nebula (M20) are both framed together in this image.
Photo was taken through my Stellarvue SV102ED2 using a Canon EOS Ra camera. It is a stack of multiple exposures from 30 sec to 5 min, and ranging from ISO 800-12,800. Total integration time is 1 hour. Pre and post-processing was done in Pixinsight.
The Rosette Nebula is a large, spherical H II region located near one end of a giant molecular cloud in the Monoceros region of the Milky Way Galaxy. The open cluster NGC 2244 is closely associated with the nebulosity, the stars of the cluster having been formed from the nebula's matter. Great to get a few hours clear sky at the start of the new year.

The Horsehead Nebula (also known as Barnard 33) is a small dark nebula in the constellation Orion. The nebula is located just to the south of Alnitak, the easternmost star of Orion's Belt, and is part of the much larger Orion Molecular Cloud Complex. It appears within the southern region of the dense dust cloud known as Lynds 1630, along the edge of the much larger, active star-forming H II region called IC 434.
