Starting to work on the pivot bolts and associated hardware. Full day of working on the next batch of bikes today but next week... Full boar into this sucker.
Designing a driven steering setup based on the system found in most Subaru models. The struts are set up to mount into the frame and pivot with the steering knuckle. Wheels are mounted to the hub, which has a three stud pattern and accommodates for the short length of the CV axle shaft. The tie rods for steering will need to be designed with real parts, since LDD isn't particularly flexible with multiple joint systems. It may be possible to create a system/technic steering rack, but I would prefer to figure it out with real parts.
Was first time using 3 flashes so wanted to test um out....only had about 5mins to shoot this hence the boring angle
One flash either side of the skater at 1/16 of power and one flash in front of me slightly to the left at full power
This mech was missing the pinch bolt and pivot holding the mech together. Whilst it was easy enough to find lots of pictures of the Sportman, I couldn't find any details as to how the pinch bolt and pivot might work together. The lower tang of the spring housing is threaded and the lower section of the bronze bush carrying the pivot pin is opened up for around 4mm to house the end of the pinch bolt. I could only guess as to how the original might have looked and fashioned this replacement from a stainless bolt. It works a treat but there's no saying this was how the Campagnolo original was set up.
I've blended together this trio of photographs of the Millennium Park male as he swoops in from right to left, pivots and then begins a dive onto the banding team of Mary, Matt and Stephanie who are outside on the ledge collecting chicks.
