I encountered this nice stand of red-bodied Trumpet Pitcher Plants in one of the few remaining wet savannas in the Apalachicola National Forest. Pitcher plants have disappeared from most of the southeast due to habitat destruction and fire suppression.

Carnivorous plant which grows in colonies.

Grown from wild seed collected in the Conecuh National Forest

was labeled 'red form'-this clone was reported to turn solid red, but it has been a very solid cuprea for me. Definitely the most outstanding cuprea clone in my collection
