Tuesday is World Animal Day. I would normally post a wild animal but since my thirteen year old beloved Golden Retriever, Piper, is having an operation on Thursday to remove a growth from inside his mouth I thought I would post a photo of him.
Thank you all for your kind responses.
Thank you so much, Karen (Piper) for the pretty swimsuits you gave me. I deffo used it during our staycation at Vegas. ♥

This one-suit piece swimwear is so cute that I politely asked Jackson to set an instant photoshoot for me. Happy that he gladly obliged. ♥

This year at Hughenden Manor there are enchanting scenes from Twelve Days of Christmas. Along the path leading from the car park down towards the Manor are 'ten pipers piping''.
We are dog sitting this weekend. Piper is an Australian Shepherd and is a sweetheart. Full of life, but a sweetheart nonetheless.
Had such a great time watching this piper. So glad it stopped here during the migration south. I only saw it this one day and it was gone.

This little gem of a place is popular for family walks. If you get here early though, it's quiet. You can often see eagles, oyster catchers, blue herons, seals, deer, and sea otters.

There was a small bush fire here a few days before I arrived. Fortunately this beautiful gnarly tree was spared. You can see the chard ground around it.
Piper, the North American river otter, was in high speed when I found her. River otters are known for their tendency to play, which sharpens their survival skills.
Black pepper (Piper nigrum) is a flowering vine in the family Piperaceae, cultivated for its fruit, known as a peppercorn, which is usually dried and used as a spice and seasoning. When fresh and fully mature, the fruit is about 5 mm (0.20 in) in diameter and dark red, and contains a single seed, like all drupes. Peppercorns and the ground pepper derived from them may be described simply as pepper, or more precisely as black pepper (cooked and dried unripe fruit), green pepper (dried unripe fruit), or white pepper (ripe fruit seeds)

Taken near the summit of Piper Mountain, Belknap Mountain Range, Gilford, New Hampshire. If you view my previous photo, you can see the Belknap Range across the lake as the highest mountain range in Belknap County.
Piper Cub in original bright yellow color, this one has been updated to a radio and transponder, clean and well maintained, found in North Carolina.
This morning, i feel like posting otters. Maybe it's because I'm sipping my second cop of coffee, and otters have energy I don't have at the moment!
Piper is a newcomer to the Elmwood Park Zoo, in Norristown, Pennsylvania. She's very young, was found orphaned in the wild, and has been introduced to the much older male, Rocky. The two of them hit it off instantly.

I read somewhere that the arbutus tree is becoming extinct. I hope that isn't the case. They are very easy to spot and I've climbed many as a child.
