With the first anniversary of the last Royal Air Force Tornado flight fast approaching (time flies...) here is a shot of Panavia Tornado GR.4 ZA750/128 in Operation Granby Desert scheme, seen while on static display at RAF Fairford during the 2017 Royal International Air Tattoo.

She approached a lonely older man with a disability. You can see the handlebars of his walker in the foreground on the right. He probably stood about four feet tall. Wherever their conversation went I haven't the foggiest but, both parties seemed captivated as his face lit-up. The conversation seemed to go for quite a while. They finished with a Pinky Swear, and I don't know why, but it was cute.

A candid street photo I don't believe into. A bride and a groom by the metal tree are fixing a padlock on the tree's metal branch. The groom is too tall and has to bend his knees a bit for the job. But what about his shoes?! Is it possible? In what cultural tradition. Maybe it was done for a joke and fun. The most unbelievable thing is the two pink padlocks are affixed to the tree just at the bottom. Pinky swear of eternal love. May the happiness be with them.

Anyhow, this is 'Pinky', otherwise known as the 'Op Granby' Tornado. Painted in the iconic Gulf War ‘desert pink’ paint scheme to honour the aircraft type’s almost continuous operational service since the 1990-91 Gulf War, she was a very welcome addition to the 2017 Royal International Air Tattoo static display.
