Well I was surprised to have company on the bus on Friday last week....she came to help mommy pack Gangie and GP's stuff....
Now the fun part, trying to find my stuff!
Look out flickr friends....Gangie is just about back on line in full force! I still have some unpacking (lots of it) to do and this little lady turns the big TWO on Sunday so ....rest assured I will be viewing all of your photos when I need a break from the boxes...I imagine it will take me ages to get caught up. :-)
Have a super weekend all!!!

This guy is a NYC fixture. He is called "Oswaldo Gomez," but likes to refer to himself as "Miss Columbia."
Often seen in Central Park, he can also be spotted at most events and parades. You can't get any more theatrical and over-the-top than him. He usually travels with numerous dresses and changes them constantly throughout the day. He also has a trained parrot, and pushes his dog Cariño
(who Sion and I have dubbed "The Saddest Poodle in the World") around in a baby stroller.
I love NY. :-D

Pink
I first spotted these sunglasses a couple of months ago. They had the purple and red ones on display, and I thought at the time that they'd make a cool photo, but wasn't comfortable getting my camera out in full view of the cash register in the shop.
Today I found the pink ones in the same shop, but in a different position, not in full view of the cash register. I commented to my friend that I'd contemplated taking a photo of these glasses before but had chickened out, and she told me that I should take the photo because she thought it'd be really cool....but that she had to go to the bathroom, so if I got busted and/or kicked out I was on my own. :-p So I quickly snapped a few shots whilst trying to be inconspicuous.

Ceremony organized by the government to try to pacify the situation in the region; The land of the Suri, in the Omo Valley, Ethiopia, is being stolen by the Ethiopian government to be rented to foreign companies; They are then rented out for 1 euro per hectare and per year;
Surma or Suri is a sedentary pastoral tribe living in south west Ethiopia, in Omo Valley on the western bank of the Omo River, in Kibish and Tulgit areas;
Only few Surma are familiar with Amharic, Ethiopiaâs official language, and the literacy level is very low; Lip plate and Donga stick fights are the two typical distinctive features of these people, shared with the neighbouring Mursi people;

So I will play the game like it should be played. Drop the funk into the mix so the place will never fade. -It's Funky Enough: D.O.C.
Woke up this morning and thought it was a nightmare but then I quickly realized… yep it's day 2. Checked out the 365 pool and lots of great photos already and here I am drawing a blank.
Fast forward to mid day when I just tucked in the girls for their nap and I'm goofing around lala and what do I find… It's Funky Enough by D.O.C and that's when I decided I would go all gangsta.
Man I remember wanting to get an LA Kings cap for the longest.

I spotted this vibrantly dressed man in the crowd at the first @madisonnightmarket of the year and knew I had to capture his photo, we were walking opposite and he was in conversation with friends. I didn't want to interrupt but I was determined. After making a lap to the end of State Street and turning around I was once again opposite the colorfully dressed man and asked if I could get a picture, he obliged and we did several photos utilizing the moving crowd and low light with a slow shutter speed.
I am so far behind on posting up photos that I don't remember his name but I do remember talking with him about all the people in my (608)strangers project. Which is my own take on a group here on Flickr called the 100 strangers, check it out. You never know who you might find.
