A simple contribution for this theme; a single pin (singles were seen in the sample gallery) lying flat on a white piece of card in the shadow of a plastic "crystal" bottle stopper purchased from a charity shop for this very purpose. This is a crop of about a quarter of the frame.
Taken handheld(!) in bright sunshine with the Helios 44M on about 5cm of extension tubes at f/8. In post -processing, I've added a blue colour to the shadow with some complementary orange to the pinhead. I've then brightened the central (horizontal) band of the image to keep the eye on the pinhead and not drift upwards.
La Mauricie National Park is located near Shawinigan in the Laurentian mountains, in the Mauricie region of Quebec, Canada.
It covers 536 km2 (207 sq mi) in the southern Canadian Shield region bordering the Saint Lawrence lowlands. The park contains 150 lakes and many ponds.
the macromondays' theme for today, 2/18, presidents day in the USA, is hard light and this is the posting for today. this portion of the little purple haired troll pin is just under 2 inches. i rather liked the streaming tendrils of unruly purple hair
ODC- easy and difficult
(achieving hard light conditions with a p&s camera)
Sharp Pins is one of my favorite local bands-super young and talented at the same time with musical gems that make me think of something that would be more popular in the 1960s. Kai Slater is also in the band Lifeguard.

This weeks theme is called Pin - funny how....i took this image for the theme #button a while ago but it could be also used for actual weeks theme.Unfortunatley the Image must be taken within the Challenge week. So i thought i share this one with you right now and later on i will share another brand new one for macro mondays. As you can see...my tiny little helpers are back in buisness doing jobs which others wouldn`t do :)

Sometimes we feel the darkness pulling us in. Sometimes we make the darkness pull us in.....most times, we ARE the darkness enveloping all things.
