The R.D. Riley, a pilot boat from Port Hardy, B.C., comes out to take off the pilot who guided the Diamond Princess from Vancouver into Queen Charlotte Sound.

Fallon adjusts his seats straps in the backseat of an F-14D Tomcat, assigned to the “Grim Reapers” of Fighter Squadron One Zero One (VF-101), on board Naval Air Station Oceana, Va. Adm. Fallon, a Naval Flight Officer, was invited by VF-101 for a last-flight courtesy ride due to F-14 Tomcat’s upcoming retirement. Fallon has logged more than 1,300 carrier-arrested landings and 4,800 flight hours in tactical jet aircraft. VF-101 is the U.S. Navy's sole Fleet Replacement Squadron for the F-14 Tomcat, training aircrew and maintenance personnel for the fleet. Pilot keys where used when a block section was out of use. When removed from each end of a block section and joined together they acted as an token giving permission to travel between the two stations.
