I made it for a magazine shoot. It's my favorite new pillow. I just love how simple it is. I stitched the two designs and then just continued the birdcage string with my sewing machine.

Mr Little Larry The Monkey is in heaven.
A few weeks ago we found these pillows
for about one dollar apiece. So, 6 of them
were purchased. As you can see right here
The Monkey couldn't be happier, for real ;-)-
His bed is less than two feet from my bed.
He can and does watch every move I make.
If I'm in bed napping when no# 1 brings
all the dogs breakfast or dinner he will
not get out of bed to eat until I get up.
Mr Boney Baloney also has two pillows.
Pumpkin and her sister The Zoomer act
as if the pillows are possessed by evil
spirits and won't get near them ;-0-
Mama has one, same with little mimi.
Photo is slightly blurry cuz it's handheld @ 1/30sec.
From a sick throw-a-way dog covered with ticks
to an internet superstar with friends world wide.
FYI,
The door on the cage is never ever closed.
This is Mr Little Larry's personal home ;-)
The yellow tint is from a reading light.
Thank You.

Josh Daiek popping pillows near Bell 2 Lodge, February 2015.
Pillow for comfortable sitting.
Double sided pillowcase (felted for winter textile for summer) with an orthopedic rubber ring pillow inside.
Wool, yarn, cotton.
I've been using a lot of woven stripes and shot cottons lately! This is the latest. Its kind of a 'Gee's Bend' inspired creation. Each block is totally random. I thought the red shot cotton would really make the blocks standout.

He sleeps on my pillows almost every night and has the courtesy to wake me up with lots of kneading, purring, and rubbing. Such a sweet little man!
PADDY: "Did you have a nice day today, Emmett?"
EMMETT: "Oh yes I did, Paddy!" *Sighs and smiles.*
PADDY: "What did you enjoy the most about today, Emmett?"
SCOUT: "Well, we enjoyed playing hide-and-seek together today, didn't we Emmett?"
PADDY: *Kindly.* "That's lovely, Scout, but I was asking Emmett what he enjoyed. I know you loved playing hide-and-seek with Emmett."
SCOUT: "Oh! Sorry Paddy!" *Puts paw to mouth.* "And yes I did!" *Smiles and cuddles Dolly.*
PADDY: "Emmett?"
EMMETT: "Well, I did enjoy having elevenses with Jago and Daisy-Maud, and I liked sitting on Orson's knee as he told me all about the flowers he likes, and I liked it when you read me a story, and I really liked getting lots of big little bear hugs and snuffly kisses from Daddy."
SCOUT: *Ahem.* "Clears throat.*
EMMETT: "And of course I really enjoyed playing hide-and-seek with Scout."
SCOUT: "See! I told you, Paddy." *Smiles.*
PADDY: "And do you think you will be happy to live here with us in Daddy's house, and make it your home."
EMMETT: "Oh yes Paddy! I know I am going to be very happy here, Paddy!"
PADDY: "That's good, Emmett, because we like having you in our family."
EMMETT: "Oh thank you, Paddy!"
SCOUT: "Paddy? Paddy!"
PADDY: "Yes Scout?"
SCOUT: "Paddy, can you read the story now?"
PADDY: "Oh yes, of course, Scout!"
SCOUT and EMMETT: "Thank you, Paddy."
PADDY: *Reading.* "There was once a woodcutter and his wife who had a dear little daughter. This little girl had blue eyes and curly golden hair, and she was as sweet-tempered as she was pretty, so that all the neighbours loved her. In the village next to the one in which the woodcutter and his family lived the little girl's grandmother had her home. Granny made a great pet of the little one, you may be sure. She bought a piece of scarlet cloth and made her a pretty cloak with a hood to it, and when she was dressed in this, the folks called her Little Red Riding Hood."
My Paddington Bear came to live with me in London when I was two years old (many, many years ago). He was hand made by my Great Aunt and he has a chocolate coloured felt hat, the brim of which had to be pinned up by a safety pin to stop it getting in his eyes. The collar of his mackintosh is made of the same felt. He wears wellington boots made from the same red leather used to make the toggles on his mackintosh.
He has travelled with me across the world and he and I have had many adventures together over the years. He is a very precious member of my small family.
Scout was a gift to Paddy from my friend. He is a Fair Trade Bear hand knitted in Africa. His name comes from the shop my friend found him in: Scout House. He tells me that life was very different where he came from, and Paddy is helping introduce him to many new experiences. Scout catches on quickly, and has proven to be a cheeky, but very lovable member of our closely knit family.
Made by Merrythought in England, Emmett is a charming little bear, sweet and smiling, crafted from multi-tonal marl grey mohair and featuring golden velvet paws. He is accessorised with a classic tartan woollen scarf. He is number 23 or a limited worldwide edition of 200.
New Tilda Pillows created with fabrics from my shop.
I used Vilene Iron-on on the back of the fabrics which gives the cushions a greater look.
Bonkers on the bed in his favorite spot between our pillows, enjoying the unseasonably warm, early May day. He is a bit more active today and didn't fall down the stairs yesterday. (With our new guard against going down the narrow part of the stairs in place, hopefully he won't fall anymore.) Hopefully he's fully recovered from his spills and tiredness.
I spotted this velvet pillow in the window of our local bookshop and it called to me and so had to bring it home to live with me. There is no info on the artist but it sure reminds me of the work of Jan van Huysum. My own garden is putting on quite a display right now so I brought it outside to nestle in the floral fecundity :)
