Horatio has been doing pilates in the park for many years. In the beginning he was part of a large friendly group, and he enjoyed the camaraderie of his fellow slow movers. As the years went by though, and his skills increased, fewer and fewer of his friends were able to keep up with his finesse and brilliance. Now he sadly practices alone, with only the woodland birds to share his meditations.

We wouldn't even had seen them, but the mom just stuck some food in their mouth...and she flew off! :) I just love their little reddish caps!!! The sun was very bright...not the best pic I've taken!!!! 😄
I think they're so pretty!!! I've talked to alot of folks who don't care for them like their pests. I'm not one of them! LOL :)
The Pileated Woodpecker is one of the biggest, most striking forest birds on the continent. It’s nearly the size of a crow, black with bold white stripes down the neck and a flaming-red crest. Look (and listen) for Pileated Woodpeckers whacking at dead trees and fallen logs …there was 3 of them in there!

I'm sure seeing a lot of these birds along the river lately. I used to not ever see them and when I did I was really thrilled. They sure are pretty with their striking red heads!!! This one sure didn't pay attention to us...maybe feeding babies in there? Tis the season!!! :) Large view is better! :)
Boy talk about a head banger!!! Wowsa....you can hear these birds a mile away!! I'm so happy to see them!!! :) Have a wonderful day everyone!! Oh I almost forgot...guess what I seen fly over our house....acouple Snow Geese!!! I can't wait to get over to the river and see if any are there!!! 👍 But we have 3 rivers that wind around and through Missoula, so they could be anywhere!!! 😂
