Waves washing onto the North Pier in St. Joseph.

Surf City Ocean Pier

Surf City, NC

A night time shot of the pier at Saltburn. Some big waves rolling in marking the arrival of yet another winter storm 'Frank'.

Haven't really done any landscapes in a while. Here is a long exposure night shot of a lake.

The scaffolding hangs from the pier. It is there to stop workers being washed away when they are working below the pier by a big tidal wave. They still get soaked though.

The light of the rising sun silhouettes the Historic Galveston Pleasure Pier as day breaks over the Gulf of Mexico.

A shot of the pier just after sunrise when there were some interesting reflections on the wet sand

A different take on the West Pier, the clouds were great for this long exposure.

Observer on the fishing pier looking out over the moody morning.

successful in practically applying steam

power for the purposes of navigation.

The funfair end of Brighton Pier just before the rain storm strikes.

Another from the Banjo Pier at Swanage.

When I arrived it was raining with thick cloud and it did not look very promising.

Thankfully the strong winds managed to break up the clouds just before sunrise allowing some nice colour to come through making the trip worthwhile.

Thanks for any favourites and comments.

Ps. It was either clone out the annoying boats or sink them.

Llandudno Pier is found in the town of Llandudno in North Wales. It’s location in a natural coastal bay made it geographically ideal as a purpose-built Victorian seaside town for Victorian families to holiday and visit.

Late evening light along Middle River last evening. Tried out this composition along the bulkhead looking towards the south and east. It was a pretty November calm evening on the river ... a nice time for the Christmas Boat Parade on Middle River.

The other pier, I thought it deserved some attention as well :)
