Give us our daily bread|
He/she virtually took the bread out of my mum's hands but much preferred the seeds and fat balls that I purchased for them the following day.

Listen and Silent are spelled with the same letters...
A lone picnic bench provides a perfect place of reflection.
Happy Bench Monday Everyone !! :-)
Walborn Reservoir -- Alliance, Ohio -- Stark County
Some nice fall color starting in the background. This is a great place to dump out all of your Halloween candy for sorting and trading. I’ll trade you 4 Kit Kat’s and a snickers for that Heath bar and 2 peanut butter cups!
Our HQ for the fortcoming week is sinking into deep winter reverie with a silent yet strong snowfall going on and on and on ;) Our landlord is having fun working his way with a mighty snow plough through the extensive property with a number of rorbuer (fishermen huts), jetty and mooring place, the access road and all surrounding spaces. He looks like a happy man :)
There was a bitterly cold wind blowing but the rain had stopped. Not a day for a picnic lunch at this information point at the top of the Ingleby Incline. If you enlarge you can see the layout on the brown model on the picnic bench
The Ingleby Incline was part of the Ironstone Railway connecting the mines and kilns in Rosedale with the main railway line in Battersby
It was 1430 yards long starting at around 600 feet rising to 1370 feet on the moor. To steep for engines so trucks were lowered on wires resulting in many accidents. It closed in 1929

Adjacent Andrew Hayden Park, is this beautiful marina, you can just see peeking trough the surrounding trees!
At the end of a night shoot in Ardentinny car park I thought I take advantage of the light from the full moon to take the long exposure :)
Another wonderful view at Wright Park in Tacoma, someone's favorite picnic spot waits patiently for Spring.
A pleasant picnic bench await you at Mississippi Palasides state Park. Five exposure HDR processed with Nik HDR Efex Pro 2
Aldwark Toll Bridge, North Yorkshire was built in 1772 to replace a ferry crossing over the River Ure, and remains one of Yorkshire’s few privately owned toll bridges.
Until the mid-18th century, locals crossed the River Ure at Aldwark via a ferry service.
The original bridge was constructed using stone, iron, and wood. It has undergone several repairs and reconstructions, notably after flood damage in 1880
The bridge in 2023 underwent a six-month closure for essential repairs, highlighting ongoing efforts to preserve its structural integrity.
The bridge connects the villages of Aldwark to Great Ouseburn, avoiding a 25-mile detour. Its strategic importance remains high for local traffic
HBM & HWW! The weather was fabulous on our first full day in Galway so we headed out to explore the stunning Connemara scenery. On the way back we had a mooch around Spiddal Craft Market. Most of the independent businesses that make up the market were open although sadly not the cafe.
A quick iPhone shot, possibly best viewed Large. If I'd known about the "Umbrella" theme for Smile on Saturday at the time I'd have made more effort to photograph the lone blue parasol but it's there so HSoS everyone!
I'm so lucky that this place is virtually on my doorstep HBM! The sign on the left gives a brief history of the abbey which was founded around 1200. More information here monastic.ie/history/tintern-cistercian-abbey/
Photo 19/100 : My 100x photos this year will be of benches & seats.
The small peak-roofed bungalow at 5 Macpherson Avenue — just west of Yonge Street in Toronto’s Rosedale–Summerhill neighbourhood — stands out for its charm and resilience
amid the city’s changing skyline.
In 2014, Greenhouse Juice Co. opened its first storefront here, transforming the modest house into a vibrant corner for fresh-pressed energy in the heart of historic Toronto. A neighbour once told them the building had previously served as the studio of the late Canadian artist Arnaud Maggs, adding a creative layer to its story.
Momma, fawn and the yearling. Not sure what's up with the snow but we usually don't get this much here. As a matter of fact - at this early time of the season we've had more this year than the past two years...
Going back 2 years to when we didn’t have snow at all but 8 miles away it was thick!! Happy bench Monday all... xx
This restaurant is located at Dove Hill Shopping Village near Carrick-on-Suir. A bit of a dull old day but I quite liked the turquoise of the VW camper & bench so I took a quick pic. There's no registration plate on the front of the camper, so I'm presuming it's there as a fun display. You don't see too many thatched buildings in Ireland but there are a few about. I liked the way the grasses were blowing in the breeze HTT!
Just posting this now. I'm seeing a face behind the bench - pareidolia strikes again 😄

“ your voice, your mind your story your vision. So write and draw and play and dance and live as only you can.”
Great to see a wheelchair accessible bench. This one was overlooking the marina in Monkstown, Co. Cork. This is quite a busy shipping channel; view large to see the cranes in the distance. It was rather a gloomy morning as I wandered around taking photos, so mono seemed an apt choice HMM & HBM!

Bench in The Jungle Garden.
This garden is very lush and extremely [ green ]
Has a tropical feeling with exotic shrubs and trees.
It finishes with a waterfall into the River Cadnant.
[ Hef & I sat here and had a picnic on a lovely
sunny afternoon.
A warm September morning, walking with friends through Silaire Wood, Co. Kilkenny, my first time here. The waymarked trail follows the meandering river Barrow for a distance before turning up through woodland & returning to Graiguenamanagh HFF!
