Second of two captures taken for these week's Macro Monday theme combining two themes from separate lists.

This is the capture with the two candy cane treats in the frame completely for a 1:1.5 macro.

13 second capture needed for this one at ISO 100 and f/16. Captured with window lighting with the candies on a mirror, then holding a black pillow over top to block out the ceiling color and making the background black in the mirror.

Anyone feeling minty now :)

For the theme of the day I chose the colour yellow from group A, and paper from group B: thinking of the boyish years of many years ago, I remembered that as a child we had fun making paper boats ... and therefore I was wondering if we had fun then folding paper to make little boats, why could not enjoy as adults in the same way? Here, this is my yellow folded paper floating boat. HMM

On Macro Mondays theme "Pick Two", I've chosen Metallic and Brush for this composition.

Using the Nikon-converted Helios 44M at f/4, and the full complement of extension tubes (about 6cm) this image is about 10 by 15mm in size.

Very little post-processing; I've cropped and skewed the image slightly and increased exposure by 1 stop.

I received a bunch of sweet miniature roses. So gorgeous!

Size: Less than 3x3 inches

This is a Nasturtium flower about 1 inch in length. Taken late morning at the Melbourne Botanical Garden. It was in the shade and the dew drops are still present.

My entry for Marco Monday theme : Pick Two.

I found on the edge of the path these pink field flowers. I thought: perfect for this week's MM theme.

Looking for the right angle, I picked a flower and pointed it up to the sky: its colour was brightened by the contrast with the blue sky and the beautiful light of this end of summer day.
