Symmetry makes the surreal...The "Miraculous Stairs" in the San Loretto Chapel in Santa Fe, NM (PicFrame and Snapseed apps)
Out to dinner tonight at one of our local favorites. First course, pork side ribs glazed with peach bourbon BBQ sauce and a chilled corn salad and bacon biscuit. My main course was a bison flat iron steak with a potato and aged cheddar stack with a tapanade topping. The whole caramelized onion demi-glaze as the base was also delicious. The dessert was the lovely cheesecake with their always outstanding raspberry compote.
It has been so dry I wasn't expecting to find any mushrooms while I was walking my dogs this evening. That's my Pug dog at the top, Bonny, checking out the mushrooms. These are cell phone shots and put together in a montage using the PicFrame app on my phone.
Desert dove nest in the backyard; amazing how fast they grow--just six days apart, these two scenes..(iPhone5, picframe, snapseed, lomob apps)
Shot on iphone3, framed with picframe app, using macro lens. Has a 'light' filter.
1920's gold and blue diamond ring which belonged to my paternal grandmother. The only item my dad got once his mum passed away and which he then gave to me.
I never used it, probably never will....but the only piece of jewelry worthy enough for todays letter 'J'!
--- see my set for the individual shots. Thanks!!
Today I had the chance to take some pictures in the little museum of Göss Abbey. After the abbey's dissolution in 1782 the church, now a parish church, was the seat of the short-lived Bishopric of Leoben. The nunnery, the last remaining Imperial abbey on Habsburg lands, was dissolved in 1782 in the course of the rationalist reforms of Joseph II, Holy Roman Emperor, and from 1786 served for a short time as the seat of the newly founded Bishopric of Leoben, of which the former abbey church, dedicated to Saint Mary and Saint Andrew, was the cathedral. The first and only bishop died in 1800.
You see the last abbess, the first and only bishop of Leoben and the last record in the chronicle of the abbey. You can read: „1782 sünd wir aufgehoben worden Amen.“(1782 we have been dissolved Amen.)
Collage is made with picframe.

„Was die Erfahrung aber und die Geschichte lehren, ist dieses, daß Völker und Regierungen niemals etwas aus der Geschichte gelernt und nach Lehren, die aus derselben zu ziehen gewesen wären, gehandelt haben.“
(Georg Friedrich Wilhelm Hegel)
Three of these are repeats, but I wanted to play with PicFrame. I spent a ton of time between my table and couch, going through my Tier 2 to-do list, which was way more fun than Tier 1 ^_^ Also, is that horse smiling?
70 years old, or let’s say 70 years young! A good friend celebrated his birthday. In a witty speech he recalled some remarkable moments throughout all those years.

Welche Freude, wenn es heißt:
Alter, du bist alt an Haaren,
Blühend aber ist dein Geist!“

Taken from the same spot on the Llanwanno loop, which is part of the Loops & Links trail's in the Rhondda Valley. This marker is next to the main Aberdare to Maerdy Mountain road. The top photo was taken on my first bike ride on the trail on the 17 March 2013 and the second after all the heavy snow last weekend. We had around 6" in places on the high ground up in the forestry trails. Its sunshine now though but still extreemly cold.
