We always stay in the same area of Tokyo - and the same hotel -Asia Center. The last thing you need with a time difference of 16 hours is a new environment!

"Calle dei Frati, calle dei Frati, calle dei Frati" I keep repeating to myself while we wander in search of a place to eat. I look a bit like the guy falling from the 50th floor in La Haine.

It was one of those bars with sandwiches and piadinas showing in the window, she was behind the counter. It was packed, so we didn't walk in, instead we kept wandering and now I'll never see her again. I'm sure we'll never be able to get back to that calle.

I am wrong.

I don't know how but we find it again, calle dei Frati, the bar is a bit less crowded. We walk in.

I order a coffee.

I always forget that I don't like coffee.

She hands it out to me and I drink it like you would drink a beer, slowly and with small sips, waiting for the right moment to approach her. I even manage to choke myself with it.

Finally I ask her: just like the previous guy she says "yes" before I even start explaining about the project, with nonchalance. She tells me that this is the second time she's asked for a photo today.

While I'm shooting, she says what everyone says when they are photographed: "but I don't look good in pictures". "Oh, you do" I retort, showing her the shot. She makes no comments.

Her name is Erica. I didn't think about asking whether it's written with a c ok with a k, but I'll go for the c. I think she has a c face.

She doesn't look like she wants to chat a lot, so I leave her alone.

All I have left is a good picture, the thought of white silvery hair and lips that taste like coffee.
