Taken for the Macro Mondays theme "Pie". This was a mini pie. 4 inches across whole. The slice was less than 2 inches in length.

Ingredients: Milk, Eggs, Flour, Fresh Frozen Sour Cherries, Lemon Zest, Green Salt, Vanilla Extract. No Sugar.
One day before baking the pie, place Cherries in a strainer on the top of a pot to collect the juice. Drink the Juice.
In Florida, I do not find fresh sour cherries, so I had to order online Fresh Frozen Sour Cherries, which were excellent.
When my friend was here from Chicago, she got this big craving for a cherry pie. My favorite place was out of cherry pies so we went to the Wimberley Pie factory. They had this fake cherry pie with the fly on it..;) I thought it was pretty funny and wanted to share it with you.
My hubby was very pleased with this week's theme as lemon meringue pie is his favourite, but it's not served very often ;)

Dried Apricots, 300 ml Yogurt Kefir, 2 Eggs, 2 Tbsp Coconut Flour, 2 Tbsp Almond Flour, 1 Tbsp All Purpose Flour, 1 Tbsp Ghee.

There is another species looking nearly exactly the same, the hintza blue which has one extra black spot (see mark on photo). That makes me wonder; if the black pie is looking for a mate, he has to be very discerning and leave the ones with an extra spot alone...

Je l'ai souvent vu en très grand nombre sur la lagune de la Somone lors d'un séjour au Sénégal; il vit au bord de l'eau près des grands fleuves, dans les estuaires et un peu partout dans les milieux humides; c'est l'un des martins pêcheurs les plus répandus dans le monde et aussi le plus grand . Son aire de répartition se situe en Afrique mais aussi en Asie méridionale.
