The "PI" also stands for Purdue Indiana; it was the standard letter pair for license plates with the logo of Indiana University - Purdue University Fort Wayne.

Woah 41 bicyclists were out in droves to bike to Pie shops on Pi Day 3.14. I joined Team Vancouver and biked over in the morning to Portland with Vancourite Leader, John with 9 total (Yes about 1/4 of the ride came from the couv - I was happy to represent). Boy oh boy, I ate bites of three berry pie, strawberry rhubarb, rhubarb cream, coconut cream, and moon pie. I also had a hot pie of sweetpotatoes and cauliflower, and later post ride a pizza pie!

Pi shawl (by Elizabeth Zimmerman) knitted from 4 100g balls of Robin Shetland Look (red-orange sport weight, 75% acrylic, 25% wool) on either US 7 or US 8 circs, probably Addi Turbos. Robin is English, and probably difficult to come by in this country. It's pretty similar to Lion Brand Wool Ease Sport Weight, although I prefer the Robin.
apple pi(e). The first of a few πs tonight. Actually spent a major portion of my evening doing this—there was no way I could do it tomorrow, with the St. Paddy's Day stuff. Figured the πs would be great drunk snack food.

Bien plus belle que l'emblématique Brighton Pier et moins défigurée par les flots de touristes et les attractions de type fête foraine, la jetée d'Eastbourne est une petite merveille.
