It seems that every afternoon the Teen section of the library fills up with youth playing the game Minecraft. So we offered a chance to play Minecraft on the Raspberry Pi single-board computers in the Jocelyn H. Lee Innovation Lab too. The difference is that you can give yourself nearly omnipotent powers in the game with a little knowledge of Python, a popular programming language. This has been a popular class this summer.
We saw this car's plate leaving San Fransisco after the last day of the conference. Can you guess what makes me think there's a good chance it's owner was at the conference, too?

I accidentally boggled her when trying only to adjust. I need to fix her tonight or tomorrow morning! She's been mad ever since! In some ways it is cute but mostly she just looks surprised to me.

At the Exploratorium we hosted the 24th Annual Pi Day on March 14th, 2012. Founded at the Exploratorium by our own Prince of Pi, physicist Larry Shaw, Pi Day has become an international holiday, celebrated live and online all around the world. This was our last Pi Day celebration at the Palace of Fine Arts before we move to Pier 15 along San Francisco's Embarcadero in 2013.
