Elliott Bay Marina is a private marina located in Seattle, Washington. It opened in 1991, after 17 years in the planning and permit process. There are 900 slips available for pumpout usage. There is a stationary pumpout located on the fuel dock. The facility also has a Porta-Potty dump station.
The slips range in size from 32 to 63 feet with 52% of the boats between 36 and 50 feet LOA. The boat types are evenly split between sailboats and powerboats, which reflects the great sailing conditions on Puget Sound. Forty boats are liveaboards. Another 60 docks must remain available for transient boaters per agreement with the city.

Have been playing around with Black and White Studio, a PS Plugin. I used Nik Silver Efex Pro most of the times for BW conversion, but I must say BW Studio does an even better job as it allows you to replicate many of the traditional darkroom processes. It also emulates the light sensitivity of professonal films (Kodak, Ilford, T-Max etc). I am not a technician, but it just looks better and more professional than any other bw-plugin. So I'll definitely gonna be using it more in the future.

I do regret my previous decision I made earlier today, that it was a good idea to take a long walk in the fresh winter weather. I really do regret that idea. After less than 30 minutes I realized that it was just a matter of (short) time before my fingers started to fall off. Therefore I had to pros pone my photographic plans, leaving me with 9 shades of winter.

so I have been drawing up plans to eventually create the first thing I really wanted to create within SL, Tarot cards, but then I thought of all the Bare Rose astrological themed outfits I have seen.. (which means I have to get over there!!) but then I thought of my first love, Astrology..
Gemini, butterflies, twins, pairs, hands, arms, eyes.. nervous system, all things related to communication.. this is associated with the planet Mercury...
but sometimes being with Mercury on the ASC, in the sign of Gemini in the 12th house, and having Moon in Virgo in the 4th house, the expression of Mercury is rather confused.. sort of like this: where does Gemini End and Virgo Begin and visa versa.. Where does the blurry line of Mercury express itself in a Virgo voice as opposed to a Gemini voice, or is it for me, one in the same based upon an Intelligent intuition but then having Mercury in the 12 house, its hard to exactly dig up what it is I really want to say with the same sharp expression as it swiftly flies in the air..
Then of course there is a cross affiliation.. Mercury in the House of Pisces and Neptune in the House of Virgo/Mercury..
the nebulousness of the glamourized expression in confrontation with the concreteness of fact and hard work...polarized within a constant battle..no wonder these expressions take such a "marriage of compliments" form!

I came across a Photoshop Plugin called Pixel Bender, which has an Oil Painting setting that I really like. I applied it to this closeup of some Juniper Moss & Reindeer Lichen, and I thought it worked really well. Taken on top of Robertson Cliff, using the Nikon AF 50mm f/1.8 lens.
I recommend you view this in original size to really see the effect.

Self portrait. I had to haul butt to make it to that chair in time as my point and shoot only has a 2 second timer. It wasn't easy to look relaxed in 2 seconds either.

According to Mandelbrot, who invented the word: "I coined "fractal" from
the Latin adjective "fractus". The corresponding Latin verb "frangere"
means "to break" to create irregular fragments. It is therefore sensible -
and how appropriate for our needs! - that, in addition to "fragmented" (as in
"fraction" or "refraction"), "fractus" should also mean "irregular" both
meanings being preserved in "fragment." (The Fractal Geometry of
Nature, page 4.)
If you want to quickly tune color’s temperature while working in the classic color wheel mode – ALT-click on the Triangle/Box/Diamond modes button. The MagicPicker will switch to the Color Temperature Wheel mode and if you ALT-click the button again it will bring you back to the previous state of the color wheel!
