I created my own Butterfly Overlay. I used Topaz Studio to finish with texture from French Kiss and Flypaper Textures.

not hdr! just some photosho, but believe me the sky were much more beautiful,there is no camera that can capture the reality...
I got lucky with few wonderful sunsets this week, we finally got clouds!
Happy Monochrome Monday! I took this cliche shot of our youngest son pretending to climb the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Took sbout a dozen snaps to get one close. It would have been easier to photosho it! :-)
I posterized this colorful art plate I saw in a gift shop. I wish I had bought one . All those little important things we need to have a full life: love, laughter, variety, a full heart, sunshine, a positive outlook, and being grateful for the little and big. Yep some days are stones but you can sometimes learn a good lesson from that to. Give away those hugs, be kind, throw away so kisses and donate time and money to children in need and plant a tree or two along the way.

This panorama was merged from 2 single shots taken with the Zeiss 2/135 Apo Sonnar at the Nikon D800E. Black and white conversion was made with the channel mixer in photosho (simulating a dark orange filter). Fine tuning of contrast was done via an additional layer, I had to get a more contrasty appearing without loss of details which was not easy at all.
This is another viewpoint which is showing well how the Cadini di Misurina are rapidly changing their face depending on the location where you look at them.

Ok, I just uploaded six pics called annedehaas# I need your help to aid me in choosing which one to submit to a magazine call for "Canadian photos" I'm terribly at picking my own shots.
I think the call is for "Faces of Canada" but not necessarily portraits of people.

It's been a while since I have posted on Flickr, but I have a TON of new work that I will be sharing here! It's good to be back :)
We did a little pre holiday photo shoot with Josie today.
This shot caught a great moment, but lacks critical sharpness.
This photo is more than just a photo and a documentation of that great evening. It's a representation of how much I love sunsets and how much joy they always give me. No matter how bad of a day I've had, ending it with a sunset always makes it better.
I spent all night working on this picture. Photoshop is still a pain in the butt to me because I only learned how to use it like a month ago.
But I love this picture. This was one of the best evenings I've ever had. I was in the middle of a huge field, probably the quietest place in my entire city. I looked to the east and saw the clouds being lit up bright pink over the entire mountain range. I looked west and saw one of the prettiest sunsets of my life.
Amazing sunrise at the Canyonlands National Park, Utah. Mesa Arch glows as the sun rises in the morning. Amazing view and experience.
