behind the scenes of a themed birthday photo setup (which included a real De Lorean)... Graphics and print production by a friend Brandon, photo setup by me in our friend Jeff's garage (the birthday boy).

The tech nerd setup stuff is as follows:

Large Softbox to camera Right, and Silver Umbrella to camera Left. Lighting provided by a Speedotron 2403cx pack/head system, setup to get f/5.6 at ISO100. Triggered via a good ole fashioned sync cable.

Captured by a Canon 7D with a Canon 16-35mm f/2.8L MkII lens, mounted on a Manfrotto tripod with a shutter release cable attached (to make it easier for anyone to run the setup). The Canon camera was shooting tethered (note: USB cable running up and along the garage door opener) into a 15" MacBookPro running Adobe Lightroom.
