After watching a reel on Instagram with some tips on how to create artistic photography I decided to try some waterdroplet art.

After many attempts, I finally got an image I was pleased with.

The best result was using the macro lens on my phone.

Hull is well known for its cream phone boxes which are owned by KCOM. They decided to dedicate one kiosk in solidarity in the colors of the LGBT for The Pride in Hull event in Hull City Centre. (See previous four Photos.

Seen in Shoreditch ...

These two red K6 phone boxes designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott have stood in St. Peters Square since the 1950’s. They were initially located on Library Walk, between the Library Theatre and Town Hall Extension. In 2013 they were temporally remove to be fully restored to working order and returned in 2014 to the location where they now stand; Central Library in the background. They were removed as part of plans to transform St. Peter’s square. The boxes are protected after being given listed status by English Heritage. They now stand empty, phones removed, vandalised and the doors welded shut; so much for their listed status. But they are so iconic that hundreds of people still take pictures of them and are quite often used in wedding photographs; even in this poor state. As they stand today they are completely covered in stickers and look a horrible mess so I have tried to clean them up slightly in PS.

The rotary phone travel series: TELEphone DIALect

not really, just two phones.

when I was young we had one phone on a party line. which meant, to you young ones, that several people were able to use the same line. my parents didn't want to pay for a private line.

a lotta people, but very short phone numbers.

and heavy phones.

The numbers and letters of a traditional phone.

I was going for a moody piece here. I shot it and re-shot it about a dozen times. Dennis had been showing me a bunch of shots he had taken using only the natural light, and I thought I had better get in the game. Generally the only natural light I use is the sun - outside. I used the top of my head as a reflector to redirect the light toward my hand and the phone.

This was a little room under the projection room in an abandoned theater in Buffalo.

I only used the limited amount of light that was already entering the room in front of me.
