This is actually one of my favorite recent shots. Two wilting flowers that look like two costumed dancers dueling it out, literally to their deaths.

Closed for the season due to COVID restrictions, Phipps Conservatory is still beautifully lit at night is the colors of the season.

This would have been the base of a cooling tower if TVA had not scrapped the Phipps Bend Nuclear Facility in 1981. Now it's a good place to go if you want to feel like you're on the set of a Tarkovksy film.

Regular viewers of my photography pages know that one of my favorite things to photograph are flowers. The best place to do this year-round is Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This blue beauty caught my eye about half-way through my most recent trip there. If you have never been there and are ever in Pittsburgh, make it one of your stops. Beautiful year round. Have a nice night everyone.
