Orchis purpurea, Leopoldsberg, Vienna, Austria. I was able to find this sepcimen that was hinding in the bushes, only because I found the rosette 6 weeks earlier. I used photo stacking for this picture.

Die Pflanzen der Kanarischen Inseln sind von der afrikanischen Festlandpflanzen isoliert. Auf den Kanaren sind mehr als die Hälfte der Flora endemisch. Die bekannste Art von der Gattung Natternköpfe ist der Teide-Natternkopf, Echium wildpretii, der in den Cañadas auf der Insel Tenerife vorkommt.
Diese Natternköpfe findet man in der Gewächshauskuppel des Botanischer Garten der Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf e. V.
The plants of the Canary Islands are isolated from the African mainland plants. More than half of the flora in the Canaries is endemic. The best known species of the bugloss genus is the Teide bugloss, Echium wildpretii, which is found in the Cañadas on the island of Tenerife.
These viper heads can be found in the greenhouse dome of the botanical garden of the Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf e. V
I know that this effect is describing something completely different. But when I'm looking at these windflowers I'm having the impression, that the blossoms are transforming into butterflies while they are withering. Off course this is absolutely nonsense, but for me it's still a nice thought.
Ja ich weiß, dieser Effekt beschreibt normalerweise etwas völlig anderes. Wenn ich mir diese Buschwindröschen so anschaue erwecken sie jedoch den Eindruck, als würden sich die Blüten während sie verblühen in einen Schmetterling verwandeln. Natürlich ist das absoluter Blödsinn, für mich jedoch trotzdem ein schöner Gedanke.
