A rose in a vase in our favorite restaurant in Winona, MN, taken during our July visit for the Shakespeare/Beethoven festivals. There were green gardens beyond and the light at this time gave the soft filtered color tones.

One more image from a cold, windy visit to Kits Beach. This one is looking to the left of the other image I posted several days ago, The Winds of Change. Here you can see West Vancouver across the water, and also going out to English Bay, the Burrard Inlet and then the open ocean.

A very pessimistic lily of the valley, not appreciating the Scottish weather - shot using my Raynox DCR-250 attached to the front of my macro lens.

Today people in Germany celebrate „ Sunday in commemoration of the dead“, traditionally the last Sunday before Advent. Our language even deals with an expression for the typical weather for this day. Totensonntagwetter as we say is dull, grey and misty. And as any self fulfilling prophecy we experienced this in the highest degree the worst pessimist could imagine. Nevertheless we were hiking on the new motorway (will be opened in two weeks). Bikers, skaters and hikers had great fun waking on ta track where in a fortnight vehicles will perform with high speed. Unfortunately the mist was too dense to take goo shots. So I place an October shot in b/w. Porta Westfalica, Ostwestfalen, Germany.

I shoot some drone photos, on my recent trip to Norway.
I haven't checked them before now, because i was rather pessimistic.
It turned out, i had to reason to be.
To those who have been there, i know its not resembling the "real" view but as always i like to add my own touch to the piece.

Going back to happier days, I've uploaded quite a few sunset photos, from this place, but until now, no SUNRISE photos, so here are 3 in one day.
On a more pessimistic note, I went back to the doctor today, and even though my bone fractures are healing, I have serious ligament damage which requires my right leg to be non weight bearing for 4 more WEEKS! This means I will miss the foliage season entirely this year, and be stuck in a wheelchair for another month :-(((

As you can see we have taken up training for this year's Christmas photo shoot. Ideally it will result in a photo I can in good conscience print on my Christmas cards. This one is not an option, it seems to say: "Please don't come visit us. Ever." I have to admit though that it is Heidi's first costume and she hasn't learned yet that wearing it means getting treats. Maybe I will be able to put the hood over her ears one day, but I do feel pessimistic about actually closing the thing in the front. There have been multiple incidents with a harness and a leash a few years back and I haven't tried anything like it since then.
I'll keep you posted :-)
