Perspectives - One Giant Leap

by Trey Watkins.

Blocks sized from about 6 inches high (the "A" in Giant) to about 10 feet high (the "G" in Giant) - There were actually 4 partial messages spelled out in blocks, which were viewed from chairs in separate viewing positions. The complete message read "One Small Step for Burning Man, One Giant Leap for Mankind," however, " "Burning Man" was not spelled out. Instead, the viewer looked through an outline of a block and saw "The Man" on his tower.

When it has been completed the school will provide places for 1,300 students and a 350 place sixth-form.

The planning application has recently been submitted to Hull City Council and work is planned for completion by September 2013.

The work is being carried out by Esteem Consortium who have appointed the architect Capita Symonds to design this £19.5 million building.

from a different perspective

This is my 2nd family session. I had an absolute blast during this session. They let me try some different things and hopefully I captured this family in a great light. Their 2 year old daughter was absolutely adorable and their son was so laid back! They are such a gorgeous family! Here's some of my favorites. Thanks for looking & any feedback would be appreciated! :)

Happy Sunday!

...is a valuable thing to keep in mind.

The students and teachers of Perspectives Middle Academy (located in Auburn Gresham) are making tremendous academic and social emotional learning growth. Just this past year SY 2013-2014, they made almost two (2) grade levels of growth in both math and reading.

NMC Campus hosted the main grid audience for Henry Jenkins' visit to Global Kids Island on the Teen Grid (see event details).

Participants here were able to listen to Henry's comments and the dance music in between. On display were rotating images of Jenkins in Second Life and snapshots of the Global Kids A World Fit For Children.

There was a bit more space in my place while I was waiting for my new couch, so I was able to get this fun shot of my big windows.

This fallen tree offered great perspective..... and a chance to get muddy knees.....

This is my nephew. He was adopted from Haiti in 2006. He has become a treasured part of our family.

I've been thinking a lot about him and the place where he came from these past few days. Wondering why our family got so lucky. Wondering why so many others are now left to grieve. I don't understand life sometimes. These past few days have brought on a sense of perspective I fear is fleeting. These events always seem to bring a flare of clarity that is encompassed in brevity. Which I also grieve for.

That we could all remember what is important in life. And find the way and the time to throw a hug on it. And keep it dear. That is the perspective I wish I always had. That we always had.

I have become completely addicted to the album "The World is Gone" by Various. It's on heavy rotation when I'm at work at the moment. Especially like this song.
