A couple years ago I designed this model of the Washington State Ferries' Super Class in Google (now Trimble) SketchUp. I left it in its rough draft state up at the 3D warehouse and didn't bother it for the better part of the last couple years.
This afternoon, I took a call from KIRO Television's managing editor for KIRO 7 Eyewitness News. The call was to inquire about usage rights and licensing for a likeness of the model to be used on their morning traffic report graphics.
Needless to say, the rest is history!

As this garlic continued to grow inside my fridge, I thought I would make a good example of its persistence. Or maybe garlic just grows better in the cold. Regardless of which, I sat it against a window as if it were wishing it were growing outside with the others of its kind.
Aside: All Twilight fans beware! I'm protected against you!

Working on drawing faces from reference photos in only ink (water soluble and not). Often started or done completely "on the go".
This divided collector roadway is part of a project that Mike McRoberts worked on for Sear-Brown in Fort Collins, Colorado. This roadway was complicated to design because it contained raised medians, traffic circles, concrete crosspans, detached sidewalks, and varying width road sections used for traffic calming.
