we rejoice in our suffering because we know that suffering produces perserverance...persercerance, character....character, hope...and *hope* does not disappoint us : )
i copied a picture of sea turtles on the beach and pasted it to Photoshop. I put the picture into free transform and adjusted it so it fit the size of the back ground. next i added text in the form of the word of the week. i added drop shadow with an opacity of 100 % so that it outlined the word. i added belvel and emboss to the word and changed the color. next i added text (the definition) and changed the color. i also changed the color of the water by using the lasso tool. next i added a starfish from the internet. i erased the background and made it free flowing. i duplicated the starfish two times and placed them in different places.

Miss Tracy, one of the owners of Calgary Tae Kwon Do Academy, came up with the idea for this design for our club's Western Canadian Tournament of Champions, held May of each year. We have up to 500 athletes in attendance from Canada, the U.S.A. and Mexico and ranging from yellow-stripes to 3rd or 4th dan black belt competitors.
We had this tag made to celebrate the study of Tae Kwon Do and its framing tenets: courtesy, integrity, perserverance, self-control and indomitable spirit. These are characteristics and behaviours we strive to live by each and every day.
Thanks to Plan-B for translating it into Pathtag template format.
first i got a picture that i thought described perseverance, and i thought a boat or a cruise ship would be a good example. Its because sometimes people are afraid to go onto boats, maybe cuz they are afraid of the water. And i added a little slogan at the bottom of the image, that says-' learn how to concer your fears.'
