Rome is one enormous mausoleum.
There, the Past lies visibly stretched upon his bier.
There is no today or tomorrow in Rome;
it is perpetual yesterday.

A female restart entering her nest to feed her chicks.
Over a period of three days I photographed a pair of redstarts going in and out of their nest to feed their chicks. The feeding was virtually constant.
I used a WiFi remote control to get this vantage point.

Took a small section from a photo of the Millennium Bridge in London, straightened it, repeated and joined the pieces into a line. Used polar co-ordinates in Photoshop to create a simular effect to the 'mini worlds' that are popular here on Flickr.

As the lovely weather moves out so does my favorite form of entertainment!...Tuesday evening was even more unbelievable, lol!
Continuing forever, constant, everlasting...
Here on the Oregon Coast, it's the perpetual cycles of sun, moon, tides, and water. The sun rises and sets. The tide ebbs and flows. Perpetual.

Friendships come and go as we all grow and change as age sneaks up on us. Some people come into our lives to teach us lessons. Some people come to make us smile when we're sad, some people cross our path to enlighten us.
Sometimes you connect with someone who never gives up on you no matter the amount of mistakes made or the distance once taken. They are always there when you need them most and that is why Perpetual Endearment was created for that one person, who since 2016 has never given up on me. I have only ever known encouragement, support and friendship. Through him, I have learned what persistence means. He is a man of many faces and names, and I am thankful he has remained the friend I never thought I had.
This impressive tree is locked in a perpetual splits as a stream from the Peshtigo River flows directly underneath. The tree is holding on for dear life - and has for some time. There is a lesson with this tree - in not giving up.
And there is a lesson in this shot for me. I was scanning an older catalog preparing for a few days in the same area. I remember this tree as being of interest but didn’t remember why. When I took my first pass through the images, it didn’t stand out as worthy of adding to my portfolio and so it sat. This area of Wisconsin, the northeast corner bumping up to upper Michigan, has a large selection of waterfalls - and I was far more focused on those.
As I looked at it again - and added some light to the underexposed raw file - this composition stood out as pretty special (by my eyes anyway). We’ll see if I can get a better shot - or if there is even a better shot to be had.
Cheers
This is a shot of the perpetual slide that has been happening for many years, sending large amounts of earth into Trout Creek, making it constantly muddy.
When I got back from the coast and looked at my pictures I thought I somehow managed to insert a roll of black and white film into my digital camera. There was almost no color at all in any of the images. And there's another photographer dead center who was also struggling to find a decent composition with Sunday's high tide.
